Talawanda Wins Boys & Girls Cross Country Championships

The Talawanda Brave have won the SWOC Girls Cross Country Championship for the fourth consecutive year.  The Brave, of Head Coach Paul Stiver, have now claimed six SWOC titles, with championships won in 2012, 2013, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020.  Talawanda finished with a perfect team score of 15 at the conference meet.  Team standings were:  1. Talawanda (15); 2. Ross (45); 3. Harrison (79); 4. Edgewood (117); and 5. Northwest (135).  Hannah Lippincott (Talawanda - Junior) won the race with a time of 19:01.0 and was named the 2020 Girls Cross Country Runner of the Year.  Paul Stiver (Talawanda) was selected as SWOC Girls Cross Country Coach of the Year.  For complete results, please click on the following link:  http://live.finishtiming.com/meets/202000486/events/1

For the second consecutive year, the Talawanda Brave are winners of the Southwest Ohio Conference Boys Cross Country Championship.  This is the third SWOC title for the Brave (2012, 2019, and 2020) and Head Coach Paul Stiver.   At the conference meet, Talawanda claimed the title by finishing 35 points ahead of runner-up Ross.  The team standings from the meet were:  1. Talawanda (18); 2. Ross (53); 3. Harrison (69); 4. Northwest (121); 5. Mt. Healthy (132); and 6. Edgewood (151).  The SWOC Boys Cross Country Runner of the Year, Kiefer Bell (Talawanda - Junior), won the race with a time of 15:57.3.  Talawanda's Paul Stiver was selected as SWOC Boys Cross Country Coach of the Year.  For complete results, please click on the following link:  http://live.finishtiming.com/meets/202000486/events/2
