2020 SWOC Boys Golf Championship Claimed by Talawanda


For the second consecutive season and the sixth time overall, the Talawanda Brave are winners of the SWOC Boys Golf Championship.  Talawanda Head Coach Don Gloekner’s team was undefeated in regular season conference matches (8-0) and won today's conference tournament by shooting a 346 at Miami Whitewater Golf Course.  To determine final standings (based on the regular season and the tournament), each school is awarded three points for a regular season win and three points for each team finished ahead of in the tournament.  The team standings from today's tournament are:  1. Talawanda (346); 2. Harrison (365); 3. Ross (378); 4. Edgewood (456); and 5. Northwest (no team score).  Today's medalist and SWOC Athlete of the Year, Nick Chernock (Ross) shot a 79, two strokes better than his closest competitor.  Harrison's Trevor Ward was selected as SWOC Coach of the Year.  For complete results, please go to the Boys Golf - Tournament tab.
