2020 SWOC Girls Golf Tournament Preview


On Wednesday, September 30, the Southwest Ohio Conference Girls Golf Tournament will tee off at 9:00 AM at Miami Whitewater Golf Course.  Heading into the tournament, five-time, and defending, champion Harrison 16-2 (7-1 SWOC) and Talawanda 17-3 (7-1 SWOC) are atop the SWOC standings.  Edgewood is the only other current SWOC school to have won a SWOC Girls Golf Championship.  During the regular season, Harrison defeated Talawanda on August 13, by the score of 182-207 and the Brave returned the favor by defeating the Wildcats on August 31, by the score of 179-185.  The following golfers lead the conference statistical list:  Abbey Coyle (Harrison) - 44.75 avg.; Jada Tegge (Talawanda) - 44.80 avg.; Alyssa Perry (Harrison) 45.68 avg.; Kennedy Ashley (Harrison) - 45.81 avg.; Ella Pfaffl (Harrison) – 48.38 avg.; and Keylee Goerss (Talawanda) – 49.40 avg.  Good luck to all the SWOC Golfers as this tournament is going to determine the 2020 SWOC Championship!
