SWOC Spotlight: Mt. Healthy Owls

02/10/2020

In the Holiday Spirit

For the 11th year in a row, the Owls' football team goes shopping to purchase items to help Mt. Healthy residents have a better holiday.  In addition to shopping, they spent two weekends at Kroger collecting perishable items for the district’s food drive.  As usual, the community shows up to support and help others.  The team also attended and helped with the “Christmas in Mt. Healthy” event held by the Mt. Healthy Business District.

Mt. Healthy/Harrison

The Harrison and Mt. Healthy Boys Soccer teams met in the Fall, and displayed more than their soccer skills.  The Harrison coach had an idea to have both teams fellowship after the match. Thanks to the Harrison parents, who provided the food and beverages, the teams enjoyed a post-game meal as one team.  Although this spotlight is an opportunity for Mt. Healthy to shine, it’s a great opportunity to give a huge shout out to the Harrison soccer community, and both of these soccer programs.

The Mt. Healthy and Harrison cheerleaders performed a halftime show together when the Boys Basketball teams played at Mt. Healthy.  This is just another example of SWOC schools coming together to display sportsmanship.
