Three SWOC Teams Qualify for OHSAA Football Playoffs

The Southwest Ohio Conference will be represented in the OHSAA Football Playoffs by the top three schools in the final SWOC standings:  Harrison; Little Miami; and Ross.  With four teams qualifying for the Playoffs from the SWOC last year, the two year total for SWOC participants is now at an impressive seven teams.  Harrison (9-1, SWOC Champions) will host Canal Winchester in a Division II, Region 8 first round contest.  This marks the second time in school history that the Wildcats have hosted a playoff game.  Head Coach Derek Rehage leads Harrison into the Playoffs for the sixth time in the last seven seasons.  The Wildcats have outscored the opposition 351-76 this season and are currently on an eight game win streak.  Harrison is ranked # 9 in the Ohio AP Final Football Poll.  Little Miami (8-2, 2nd in the SWOC) will travel to LaSalle for another Division II, Region 8 first round match-up.  This is the second consecutive season the Panthers have qualified for the Playoffs, Little Miami defeated SWOC rival Edgewood in the Playoffs last season.  Head Coach Caleb Jones' team won the final three games of the season to clinch a Playoff spot and have outscored their opponents 342-236 this season.  Ross (8-2, 2nd in the SWOC) takes on Badin, at Hamilton High School, in Division III, Region 12 opening action.  This is Ross' first Playoff appearance since 2011.  The Rams, of Head Coach Kenyon Commins, won the final two games of the season to secure a Playoff berth.  Ross has outscored their foes by the score of 334-202 this season.  The Rams defeated Badin in the season opener 20-19, in overtime.  All of these games are scheduled to be played on Friday, November 8, with kickoffs slated for 7:00 PM.  Congratulations and good luck to our SWOC teams in the OHSAA Football Playoffs!!!
