SWOC Sending 16 Runners to Regional Cross Country Meet


The Southwest Ohio Conference will be well represented at the 2019 OHSAA Southwest Regional Cross Country Meet.  There will be 16 SWOC student-athletes competing in the meet, following their qualifying runs at the District Meet.  The Talawanda Cross Country program, of Head Coach Paul Stiver, headlines the SWOC contingent.  Fresh off their SWOC Championship, the Brave Girls Team qualified as an entire team for the Regional Cross Country Meet and claimed a District Championship in the process.  Team members are Hannah Lippincott, Maddy Iden, Libby Farmer, Lilly Iden, Eva Motta, Kylee Carver and Abigail Bahlau.  Talawanda's Boys Team also qualified the entire team for the Regional Cross Country Meet, one week after also capturing the SWOC title.  Team members are Kiefer Bell, Logan Murray, Jens Bartel, Eliot Berberich, Benjamin Farmer, Daniel Sawdai and Quinn Kissell.  Individual qualifiers from the SWOC are Ross' Morgan Barnes and Little Miami's William Zegarski.  The Regional Cross Country Meet will be held Saturday, October 26 in Troy.  The Girls race is scheduled for 12:30 PM and the Boys race is set for 3:00 PM.  These teams and runners will be vying to qualify for berths at the State Cross Country Meet in Columbus.  Congratulations and best of luck to these outstanding SWOC student-athletes!!!
