Harrison Claims 3rd Straight SWOC Girls Golf Championship


For the third consecutive year, and five of the last six years, the Harrison Wildcats have won the SWOC Girls Golf Championship.  Harrison Head Coach Bryan Carr's team finished unblemished in SWOC competition.  Harrison finished the regular season portion of conference play undefeated, at 10-0, against their SWOC rivals.  At today's conference tournament, Harrison secured the title by finishing 16 strokes ahead of the runner-up Talawanda Brave.  The team standings from today's tournament are:  1. Harrison (383); 2. Talawanda (399); 3. Northwest (434); 4. Ross (444); 5. Little Miami (449); and 6. Edgewood (453).  Sarah Abner (Edgewood) was the medalist of the tournament, by shooting an 82 at Miami Whitewater, and was named 2019 SWOC Girls Golf Athlete of the Year.  Bryan Carr (Harrison) was voted SWOC Coach of the Year.  For complete results, please go to the Girls Golf - Tournament tab.
