Preview of the 2019 SWOC Girls Golf Tournament


On Wednesday, September 25, the Southwest Ohio Conference Girls Golf Tournament will tee off at 9:00 AM at Miami Whitewater Golf Course.  Heading into the tournament, Harrison 13-3 (10-0 SWOC), Talawanda 15-4 (8-2 SWOC) and Northwest 8-5 (6-4 SWOC) are atop the SWOC standings.  The Wildcats of Harrison have won four SWOC Championships, including the last two, while the Cougars of Edgewood have won one title.  The following golfers lead the conference statistical list:  2018 Golfer of the Year, Sarah Abner (Edgewood) - 40.80 avg.; Morgan Hughes (Northwest) - 42.20 avg.; McKenzie Mobley (Harrison) - 45.43 avg.; Kennedy Ashley (Harrison) - 47.43 avg.; Abbey Coyle (Harrison) - 48.06 avg.; and Jada Tegge (Talawanda) - 50.00 avg.  These six golfers were all honored as All-Conference golfers in 2018.  Good luck to all of the SWOC Golfers, as this tournament is going to play a large part in determining the 2019 SWOC Championship!
