2019 SWOC Track & Field Championship Preview


On Tuesday, May 7th, the Southwest Ohio Conference Track & Field Championship will be held at Edgewood High School.  Admission to the meet is $6 per adult and $4 per student.  Field Events are scheduled to begin at 4:15 PM and Running Events are scheduled to start at 5:30 PM.  Mt. Healthy has won the last five SWOC Boys Track & Field Championships.  Northwest won the inaugural title in 2013.  Talawanda has won four of the six SWOC Girls Track & Field Championships, including the last two.  Harrison (2015) and Ross (2016) have won the other titles.

Based on the SWOC website, the following athletes possess the top statistics, in multiple events, heading into the meet:  Justin Abrams (Mt. Healthy) - Pole Vault and 400 Meters; Quentin Anderson (Mt. Healthy) - 300 Meter IM Hurdles and 110 Meter High Hurdles; David Kraushar (Talawanda) - 800 Meters and 3200 Meters; Derrick Martin (Mt. Healthy) - 100 Meters and 200 Meters; Mt. Healthy Boys Relays - 400 Meters, 800 Meters, and 1600 Meters; Northwest Girls Relays - 400 Meters and 800 Meters; Hannah Lippincott (Talawanda) - 800 Meters and 1600 Meters; BrookeAnn Cornelius (Harrison) - Shotput and Discus; and Kyra Koontz (Talawanda) - Long Jump, 100 Meters, 100 Meter High Hurdles, and 300 Meter IM Hurdles.
