Talawanda Captures Third Consecutive Boys Tennis Title


The Talawanda Brave are winners of the 2019 SWOC Boys Tennis Championship.  This makes three straight titles, and four of the last five championships, for Head Coach Pete Thomas' teams.  At the conclusion of the regular season, Talawanda (5-0) and Northwest (4-1) were atop the conference standings.  At the conference tournament, Talawanda captured the title by finishing first, 8 points ahead of Little Miami.  The team standings from the tournament are:  1. Talawanda (38); 2. Little Miami (30); 3. Harrison (22); 4. Northwest (20); 5. Ross (18); 6. Mt. Healthy (10); and 7. Edgewood (2).  The 2019 SWOC Boys Tennis Athlete of the Year is Matt Lockman (Little Miami).  This is the second consecutive year he has been selected as the Athlete of the Year.  Talawanda's Pete Thomas was selected as SWOC Coach of the Year.  For complete results, please go to the Boys Tennis - Tournament tab.
