Mt. Healthy Captures the 2019 SWOC Boys Basketball Championship


The Mt. Healthy Owls are the 2019 Southwest Ohio Conference Boys Basketball Champions.  Coach Adair Carmichael's team finished the season with an overall record of 15-7 (11-1 SWOC).  This is the Owls' first outright SWOC title and second overall, Mt. Healthy shared the 2015 crown with Northwest.  This season, the Owls dropped an early conference game, on December 18th, and then proceeded to win their final nine conference matchups to finish at 11-1 and SWOC champions.  Mt. Healthy led the SWOC in scoring, by averaging 58.4 points per game in conference action.  The Owls are represented on the SWOC statistical leader page by:  Brandon Lanier - 6.8 rebounds per game; Kollin Tolbert - 1.8 steals per game; and Aushadon Mathis - 13.0 points per game.  Mt. Healthy opens OHSAA Tournament action on Saturday, February 23 at 5:00 PM when they travel to Lakota West to take on Loveland.  Congratulations and good luck to the Owls!!!
