2019 SWOC Wrestling Tournament Preview


On Saturday, February 16th, the Southwest Ohio Conference Wrestling Tournament will be held at Northwest High School.  Admission to the tournament is $6 per adult and $4 per student.  Wrestling is scheduled to begin at 9:30 AM.  Harrison has won the last 5 SWOC Wrestling Championships.  Ross won the inaugural title in 2013.

This season, SWOC wrestling teams have enjoyed success on the mat and this is reflected in the following rankings from the SWOWCA Final Poll:  Harrison, Division I, # 3 in both Dual and Tournament Format; Edgewood, Division I, # 14 in Dual Format; Little Miami, Division I, # 15 in Tournament Format; and Ross, Division II, # 1 in both Dual and Tournament Format.  Ross is coming off an appearance Sunday in the 2019 State Dual Tournament due to winning the Regional Championship for Division II, Region 15.

The following wrestlers possess the most wins this season, based on the SWOC website:  Alex Coleman, Ross, 285 lb. weight class; Thomas Coleman, Ross, 220 lb. weight class; Garrett Boyle, Ross, 195 lb. weight class; Olathe Seigla, Edgewood, 126 lb. weight class; Kevin White, Mt. Healthy, 120 lb. weight class; and Logan Iams, Ross, 182 lb. weight class.
