2019 SWOC Girls Basketball Championship Won by Little Miami


For the second consecutive year, the Little Miami Panthers, 16-6 overall (11-1 SWOC), are the Southwest Ohio Conference Girls Basketball Champions.  This title is the first outright SWOC Championship for the Panthers and the third title Little Miami has won in the last four years.  In SWOC competition, the Panthers led the conference in scoring (53.0 points per game) and defense (33.5 points allowed per game).  Little Miami has multiple players among the statistical leaders in the SWOC.  They are:  Kaitlyn Simpkins first in scoring (13.5), assists (4.7) and steals(4.5); Sydney Kuritar fourth in scoring (12.2); Kelsey Schmidt third in steals (3.1); and Ally Grake third in assists (2.7).  Congratulations to the Panthers and Head Coach Matt Tolliver on another SWOC title!!!  Little Miami opens OHSAA Tournament action on Saturday, February 16 at 1:00 PM when they travel to Lakota East to take on Oak Hills.
