2018 SWOC Football Championship Shared by Edgewood and Harrison

For the first time in SWOC history, there are Football Co-Champions:  the Edgewood Cougars and the Harrison Wildcats.  Edgewood finished the regular season 8-2 overall (5-1 SWOC) and Harrison finished 7-3 overall (5-1 SWOC).  This makes the third consecutive SWOC title for the Cougars and the first SWOC title for the Wildcats.  Edgewood relied on its' ground attack to average 32.4 points per game, while only allowing 11.2 points per game with a stout defense.  Harrison leaned on its' passing game to average 32.9 points per game, while only giving up 20.1 points per game defensively.  Both teams have qualified for the OHSAA Division II Football Playoffs.  Congratulations and good luck in the postseason to both teams and their coaches, Edgewood's Scott Clemmons and Harrison's Derek Rehage!
