Talawanda Captures 2nd Consecutive SWOC Girls Cross Country Title

For the second year in a row, the Talawanda Braves have won the SWOC Girls Cross Country Championship.  The Braves, of Head Coach Paul Stiver, have claimed four SWOC titles, with championships won in 2012, 2013, 2017 and now 2018.  Talawanda finished 20 points ahead of runner-up Little Miami at the conference meet.  Team standings were:  1. Talawanda (20); 2. Little Miami (40); 3. Harrison (102); 4. Northwest (111); 5. Ross (119); and 6. Edgewood (143).  Maddy Iden (Talawanda - Sophomore) won the race with a time of 19:23.4 and was named the 2018 Girls Cross Country Athlete of the Year.  Paul Stiver (Talawanda) was selected as SWOC Girls Cross Country Coach of the Year.  For complete results, please click on the following link:  http://www.finishtimingresults.com/2018/10-13-SWOC/#event7
