SPRING Update: 4/12
The start by Ross has the rest of the conference looking up at the Rams. Ross currently sits at 6-2 overall and 2-0 in the SWOC. In 8 games this season, the Rams have allowed just 19 total runs.
At the plate, Ross has been led by basically its entire lineup. Annie Hinterlong leads the Rams with a .536 average and 10 stolen bases. Ally Ivey and Kelsey Warman are both hitting .500 with 26 plate appearances. And Kenzie Meyer has been lights out on the mound with a 6-2 record, 47 strikeouts and a 1.40 ERA in 50 innings.
Edgewood looks like it will have a say in how the conference race clears up. The Cougars have enjoyed a 6-1 start, but because of weather they haven't played any conference opponents yet.
Ally Williams is hitting .480 with 8 RBI to lead Edgewood. Chelsey Braunwart's hitting .440 with a team-high 10 RBI. Sam Davis has been dealing on the hill with a 5-1 record, 46 strikeouts and a 2.06 ERA.
Harrison's still very much in the mix at 4-3 overall and 2-1 in the league. Sami Wilkins has hit .458 for the Wildcats, followed closely by Sydney Turner at .391 and Katie Milesky with a .381 mark.
Talawanda's off to a 2-5 start and 2-1 in the conference and Little Miami's 2-4 with a 1-1 league mark. Talawanda's Lauren Baker, who's hitting .619, and Taylor Bowie, at .600 lead the conference in hitting.
Mount Healthy and Northwest have both started 1-4 and 0-2 in the SWOC.
Ross has started the season on a red hot pace, winning seven of its first 10. Ross' Trey King and Tyler Flick have led the way at the plate. King is hitting .526 with 7 RBI and 5 stolen bases. Flick's average is .429 with 6 RBI. Brennan Morton's 10 RBI are the most in the conference. Austin McKee has knocked in 9 runs. Pitcher Thomas House is 2-1 with 12.2 innings under his belt and 21 strikeouts and a 3.87 ERA.
Harrison's been efficient off the bat with a 4-1 mark led by Cooper McElroy at the plate with a .421 average. Josh Huff's hitting .421. Huff is 2-0 on the mound with 13 strikeouts in 12 innings and a 0.58 ERA. Harrison P Evan Miller, in 11.1 innings, has 15 strikeouts and a 1.24 ERA.
Little Miami's Dylan Carpenter leads the conference with 11 hits and is hitting .500 with 7 RBI. Carpenter also has three 3B, five 2B and a home run.
Edgewood's Drew Reckart .571 in 14 at-bats. Edgewood's Paul Donisi has a 1.27 ERA in 11 innings.
Ethan Wesley and Brandon Shelton have paced Northwest. Wesley has thrown 10.2 innings with nine strikeouts and a 2.63 ERA; Shelton has 12 strikeouts in nine innings and a 3.11 ERA.
