Edgewood's busy bowling weekend


The Edgewood bowling team competed in the SWOC vs. ECC tournament on Saturday at Northwest Lanes and the Back to School Bash on Sunday at Fairfield Lanes. Cody Rose led the team with a 639 series on Saturday, his first career 600 series. Corey Short contributed a 602 series and Brad Bendel added a 236 game. Edgewood was seeded 10th for match play baker games. They defeated Walnut Hills before losing to Anderson, the top ECC team and Mt. Healthy.

On Sunday, Corey Short led the team with games of 228 and 255 for a 483 series to make the all tournament team (see picture below). Brad Bendel rolled a 215 game for a 407 series and Drake Couch had a career high 185 game. Edgewood defeated Hamilton in the quarterfinals of the best of three games match play before losing to eventual champion Fairfield to finish 3rd overall.

The team returns to SWOC action on Monday at Harrison Bowl against Ross.
