Mount Healthy Stays Undefeated, Harrison falls in OT

Week six didn't shy away from the tough, exciting football we've seen through the first five weeks. Mount Healthy hammered Ross, 49-14, to get to 6-0 on the season. The Owls are the last remaining unbeaten in the conference after Harrison fell to Western Brown, 50-49, in overtime. 

Mount Healthy quarterback David Montgomery was 5 of 7 passing for 45 yards and a touchdown. The junior did most of his damage on the ground; 16 rushes for 243 yards and two touchdowns. 

Talawanda took a step back in the right direction with a 20-7 win over Northwest. Talawanda senior Maurice Thomas remained formidable rushing 43 times for for 207 yards and three touchdowns. 

Edgewood beat Little Miami, 21-7. The Cougars were led by quarterback Trace Reynolds who finished with 160 yards and two touchdowns on 8 of 12 passing.
