Volleyball, Soccer Races are Tight


The girls’ volleyball race remains close. Harrison is the only remaining unbeaten team (in conference play) left. The Wildcats are 7-1 overall, followed by Talawanda at 8-2 overall and 4-1 in the conference. Northwest is very much in the race. The Knigths are 7-1 overall and 3-1 in conference. Ross and Little Miami are just off the pace. Ross is 6-4 overall (2-2) and Little Miami is 6-6 overall (2-3). Mount Healthy (1-6) and Edgewood (1-9) are trying to get rolling. 

The boys’ soccer standings are also close. Ross is 4-0-2 overall, but the Rams are 2-0-0 in the conference. Little Miami is 3-0-0 (1-0 in SWOC), Harrison is 3-2-0 (1-0), Talawanda is 2-3-3 (1-1-0).  Northwest is an even 4-4-0, but 0-1 in conference. Connor Horne (Northwest) and JT Brown (Talawanda) are currently tied for the conference lead in points with 15. Little Miami’s Connor Wichman is right there also with 12. 

Harrison and Ross are at the top of the girls’ soccer standings. Harrison is undefeated at 6-0-0 overall and 2-0 in conference. Ross is 3-3-0 and 2-0 in conference. Edgewood is 5-3-0 overall and 1-1 in conference. Edgewood’s Brittany Marts is leading the conference in total points with 27. Harrison’s Kayla Childs is second with 25.
