Wilmington Claims Conference Tennis Title


What began as a rainy late-April Tuesday, ended with a title for Wilmington. The Hurricane won the SWOC boys' tennis championship on their home courts, with 40 points. Wilmington edged out Talawanda in second with 26. Ross and Northwest tied for third with 23 points. Wilmington's Joe Alexander was voted the SWOC Player of the Year and Wilmington coach Steve Reed took Coach of the Year honors for the second straight year.
