Talawanda boys and girls win SWOC swim titles
Talawanda came away with a pair of swimming titles on Saturday night at Miami University's Rec Center. The Braves were dominant. The girls finished with 470 team points, while the boys racked up 499. Wilmington came in second place for the girls and Harrison was second for the boys.
Talawanda coach Steve Pasquale was named Coach of the Year for boys and girls. Talawanda's Scott Richmond was the boys Swimmer of the Year and Northwest's Abby Klei was the girls Swimmer of the Year.
Richmond won the 200 Individual Medley (2:04.14) and 100 Breaststroke (59.90). Edgewood's Zach Apple won the 50 Freestyle (21.92) and the 100 Freestyle (49.43).
Wilmington's Alyssa Lewis won a pair of races at the SWOC Championships. Lewis won the 200 Freestyle (2:01.32) and the 100 Freestyle (55.84). Talawanda won all the relays and Grace Huddleston won the 50 Freestyle (25.64).
