Owls Complete Comeback; Knights fall
In the second round of the Division II, Region 6 football playoffs Mount Healthy completed a comeback late to beat Winton Woods 13-10. The Owls will meet top-seeded Loveland, who beat Northwest 45-14. It will be Mount Healthy's first regional final appearance in school history, according to the school.
Mount Healthy trailed Winton Woods 10-7 late in the fourth quarter until DeShawn Jackson caught a 26-yard touchdown pass from David Montgomery with 1:11 left in the game. The Owls trailed Winton Woods 3-0 at the half.
Mount Healthy and Loveland will play Friday (Nov. 22) at Lockland's Roettinger Field at 7:30 p.m.
Northwest started out great against Loveland. The Knights and Tigers traded touchdowns in the game's opening eight minutes which featured a combined 28 points. But, that's all Northwest would get and another playoff season came to an end for a senior class that became the winningest class in Northwest history.
